Brown Sugar
Sugar, a significant dietary component also referred to as sucrose, is a white crystalline substance with a sweet taste. It is a carbohydrate that is completely soluble in water. Sugar (sucrose) is a natural amalgamation of fructose and glucose, constituting a highly stable product.
Dark Brown sugar
- Also known as Light Yellow or Soft or Yellow sugar.
- Darker Brown color, caramel flavor, stickier the crystals ,rich molasses.
- Most commonly used in gingerbread, baked beans, barbecuing, chocolate cookies and other full-flavored foods.
Light Brown Sugar
- Also known as Golden Yellow or Brilliant Yellow sugar.
- Light Brown color, mild sweet taste, less sticky, having less molasses.
- Most commonly used in used in sauces, baking, glazes, and condiment.
Turbinado sugar
- Also known as Demerara sugar or Raw cane sugar.
- Partially processed sugar and it retains more of the naturally present molasses.
- Large Golden/brown/Blond Cystal, mild brown sugar taste, slightly Sticky, less calories.
- This type of sugar has been partially purified (double washed) for human consumption.
- Most commonly used in used in sweetening beverages like tea, coffee, or on top of hot cereals & baking.
Muscovado sugar
- Also known as Barbados sugar.
- Unrefined Sugar molasses is not removed, where not all plant pigments and flavors are removed.
- Color range light to Dark brown color strong molasses tase.
- Sand Texture as the crystal are slightly coarser and sticker than regular brown sugar.
- Most commonly used in used in sweetening beverages like tea, coffee, or on top of hot cereals & baking
